Block Printing with natural or pigment dyes is an ancient print technique. It's a multi step process of printing the fabric with wooden blocks, where the fabric is pinned on a table or a flat surface with the block on top, and pressing, or hammering, the back of the block. What emerges after this process is a unique piece of art, with some imperfections that make it one of a kind.
The block print here is a floral print on a plush green cotton sateen fabric which is light , soft and luxurious in its feel.
